Day of Ride: Sign-In 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Course closes at 4 PM. Barbque closes at 5 PM.
   
   

This scenic ride begins at Pioneer Park in Santa Maria, CA. Santa Maria is located on U.S. Highway 101, in northern Santa Barbara County, in the heart of one of the nation’s premier wine regions. It is about 190 miles north of Los Angeles and approx. 260 miles south of San Francisco. We are just 30 minutes from Pismo Beach and 12 minutes north of the historic community of Los Alamos. On your ride you'll see lush valleys, vineyards and ranches while cycling on quiet country roads. You will have a choice of a full Century, half Century & quarter Century. Plan to visit our many wineries on Sunday, after the ride.

ROUTE/DIRECTIONS

DIRECTIONS
The ride starts/ends at Pioneer Park in Santa Maria, just off Hwy 101. Take the Clark Avenue exit west. Turn north/right on Highway 135/Broadway. Turn West/left on Foster and continue 0.4 mile to the park. For detailed information and elevation charts about the century and half century routes, please click HERE.

ROUTES WELL MARKED
The quarter century is a 27 miler that is basically flat and easy. The half Century is actually 52.07 miles with 2,293 feet of elevation gain. The Century is actually 101.3 miles with 2,293 feet of elevation gain. The half Century and Century Riders will ride the same route for the first 52.07 miles then back to Pioneer Park. The Century riders will have a lunch stop with fruit; baked goods, other goodies and water to refill their water bottles then off to Guadalupe and back to complete their ride.

REGISTRATION DETAILS
  • Registration fee (until July 9th at midnight): $55.00 (includes T-shirt)
  • Registration fee (July 10 thru July 13 at midnight: $55.00 but no guarantee of a t-shirt.
  • Registrations after July 13th: $65.00 and no guarantee of T-shirt.
  • NO WRITE IN REGISTRATIONS.
  • Unregistered riders (walk-ons) day of ride: $65.00 and no guarantee of T-shirt.
  • Unregistered riders may register the day of the ride between 6:30 & 8:30 AM.
  • Limited to 500 riders
  • Your entry fee includes rest stops with snacks and water, route sheets, lunch, SAG support, an event t-shirt* and a Santa Maria Style BBQ at the end of your ride.
  • You may also purchase extra BBQ meals for the price of $7.00.
  • The BBQ includes Top Sirloin, Chicken or a Vegetarian Meal. Be sure to state Beef, chicken or Vegetarian Meal.
  • A yellow wrist band will be worn by riders with a single meal.
  • A red wrist band will be worn by riders purchasing an extra meal.

REMEMBER

  • If you want a t-shirt you must registery by July 9.
  • The ride will be held in any weather.
  • Late starters are not guaranteed ride services.
  • COURSE CLOSES BY 4:00 PM, barbeque closes at 5:00 PM so please plan accordingly.

RIDE SAFETY INFORMATION
  1. Carry a spare tube, pump, water, sunscreen, money, ID, emergency phone numbers, and critical medical information.
  2. Helmets (ANSI/Snell-approved) MUST be worn.
  3. All riders must sign the release form before starting the ride. Registration is null and void if release form is not signed.
  4. Minors (under 18 years) must be accompanied by an adult. Parent or guardian must sign the release form. No exceptions.
  5. Bicyclists must obey all California Vehicle Code laws, including all stop signs and signals.
  6. Remember there is Safety in numbers but always travel with traffic on the right side of the road and ride single file.
  7. Please do not ride side by side even in a wide bike lane.
  8. The roads will be well marked and please stop at all stop signs.
  9. SAG will be available in case of a problem.
  10. Remember even if you have the right of way, always give way to the automobile.
